How to Help
If you would like to help create awareness about the MAP-Crohn's
disease issue, there are several things you can do:
- Refer people to this website
- Print PARA's Flyer and distribute it
to friends and family, and ask your doctor if he/she will display it in their
waiting room
- Contact PARA with breaking news stories or other information
related to this issue
- Write letters to local/national supermarkets and food chains regarding
your concerns about the risk of MAP-contaminated foods being sold and
served by them
- U.S. citizens are urged to write their Congressmen/Senators about this
issue. For details about PARA's involvement with the U.S.
Congress, visit the dedicated page "PARA's March to Congress"
- United Kingdom citizens are urged to contact
The Chronic Crohn's Campaign, a grassroots movement in the United
Kingdom, reaching out to
people in the UK who are alarmed by the
uncontrolled spread of MAP in the environment, as well as the growing
evidence linking it to Crohn's disease. For more information about The
Chronic Crohn's Campaign, visit PARA's dedicated webpage
MAP in the United Kingdom.
- Canadian citizens are urged to contact The Canadian Movement Against Paratuberculosis or MAP-Canada,
a grassroots movement made up of
and operated by Canadian patients with Crohn's disease, their families and
friends. They are reaching out to all Canadians who are alarmed by the
uncontrolled spread of MAP in the environment, as well as the growing
evidence linking it to Crohn's. For more details about MAP-Canada,
visit PARA's dedicated webpage MAP in Canada.
PARA needs your financial support!
PARA continues to lobby the U.S. federal agencies, create worldwide
awareness and work for increased funding for the pioneering researchers whose
motivation is the prevention and cure of Crohn’s disease. Will you join PARA,
and help us to help them?
To date we have had many successes, although our task is far from over.
In order to continue our work effectively, it is imperative that we receive the
financial support to do so. Please visit the webpage
Join PARA for further details on how
you can make a financial contribution to "PARA:
The Cause for a Cure for Crohn's Disease."
